Flip It: Capoeira Addition
I recently purchased the Flip. The main purpose of this is to record capoeira and develop a library of videos on youtube.com. However, I had delusions of grandeur that I might become a famous video blogger or even just make impressive video compilations. Although the latter might be possible, it is more likely that I will continue to contribute to the mediocre at best amateur video segments that exist on youtube now. As you know, a video is only good as its content and, without art direction, a script and the right placement of the video camera itself, no video can be that good. So I’ve become satisfied in my mediocrity. That being said, here are some people I know in video format:
The revolution is complacent.
I’m a white, privileged, educated and successful white American. Does that make me a racist? I’m beginning to think so. When I talk to the priviledged, the educated and the white Americans, I notice that we seem to think civil rights was a success. Did I say we?
I’m tired of self-righteous flippant attitudes. Racism exists. I don’t know that it’s here to stay. I don’t know that it’s not. I do know, like written in James, that our mouths are disgusting, spewing forth hate. I am tired of the company of men and women alike. The words that are spoken are pointless, self-stroking and shallow. I build a trust and a repore with men just to be disappointed and insulted.
I wish that I would join the fight. But our society is so nuanced, our conversations so convoluted. There is no revolution. There is no fight. Complacency plagues our generation and leaves us without a fight to join.
Ramblings of a procrastinating mind.
I have a calendar event everyday at 11am entitled “Try not to buy anything.”
I am allergic to being hungover.
My friend told me he’s teaching his 5-year-old how to be a killer. I said that was excessive, just teach the boy to protect himself. He said it’s a necessary skill to have if your sister’s husband likes heroin.
Why are fonts so elusive?
Someone just conceded to my logic. I am exhilarated!
My love for bacon I cannot deny.
I just finished a 2 day juice cleanse. This is 2 days of 8 juices a day, concocted by Greenwich Yoga. All sorts of different things in each juice. Beat, carrot, celery juice. A shot of wheatgrass followed by cucumber juice. Lemon, cayenne water throughout the day for your mood. This is my second go around and it was cool. No vitamins, ibuprophen or alcohol. No bacon or cheese. Nothing but juice and water.
For me it was a lot of pissing and moaning. Literally.
There were moments of hunger but more bothersome was the desire for tasty, tasty slabs of meat. Most importantly, I realize how little water I drink. We are 80% water but most of us consume everything but… I feel lighter, fuller and hydrated. Aiming now to keep up the liquid consumption along with my bacon.
Do not try this at home…

The durability of the MacBook is amazing. Not only was mine perched atop a toaster oven, the oven was on and 6 of my 10 digits are now blistering from the heat when I moved it. And now I blog on the very same machine. <Insert huge sigh of relief here.>
