The durability of the MacBook is amazing. Not only was mine perched atop a toaster oven, the oven was on and 6 of my 10 digits are now blistering from the heat when I moved it. And now I blog on the very same machine. <Insert huge sigh of relief here.>
Two capoeira lectures later, I have learned:
1. Never trust anyone.
2. Always keep your hands up.
3. Capoeira is complicated.
4. The smiles are for the game, not you. Do not trust.
5. Community involvement is part of the training.
6. That beat sounded like Merengue. I’m just saying.
Dong Chin Chin.
MANIFESTO: Our practice is an exploration; the journey to find inner peace and balance. Together, let’s take that practice off the mat and out of bounds. Let’s bring it to the our rooftops, our front yards and our town squares. Let’s bring it to the under-priveledged, the mentally ill, the children. Let’s connect it to the idea that perhaps one day all sentient beings everywhere may be happy and free. Let’s practice together for hope. Hope that all people might be equal regardless of their sex, race or sexual orientation. Let’s use the practice to connect to our inner light and share it with others.

Things My Boss Says
A song written for me.
Hundred dollar dresses
Drinking to excess, she fails
upward to success, she could
give two shits or less
‘Cause she’s
trashed in a nice dress (trashed in a nice dress)
Always a hot mess (always a hot mess)
Yeah she’s
trashed in a nice dress (trashed in a nice dress)
It ain’t one thing or another
you better duck for cover
On Car Services: Its great. You can sit there and read or do whatever you want and not have to smell other people.
On her new diet: I started eating humane meats. Let me tell you though, that shit is expensive, so I’ve been a vegetarian.
